Open-source software is the backbone of today’s technology. It allows people to work together to solve problems and share solutions for everyone to use. At Summit Security Group, we believe giving back to open source is not just a nice thing to do, but an important way to make the Internet safer.

In line with our commitment to the open-source community, we recently contributed a custom template for Nuclei, an open-source and template-based tool for vulnerability scanning. This marks an important milestone for Summit, as we bring our years of experience and leadership in cybersecurity to the global community.

This template was designed to address a common misconfiguration affecting the Lantronix XPort telnet service that allows unauthenticated users to remotely manage the device.

The template can be found in the official nuclei-templates repository. We encourage you to try it out and provide feedback or suggestions for improvements.

Our Commitment to a Safer Internet

Summit has always worked hard to make technology safer, and we see this as one more way to help. We are excited to keep contributing to open source whenever we can, and we hope to inspire others to do the same.

At Summit Security Group, we also specialize in helping businesses strengthen their security posture through tailored solutions and expert guidance. Contact us today to learn how we can help protect your organization and support your cybersecurity goals.
